"Diminished purchasing power" mentioned by French Unions

Inflation is such a positive word for a horrible action. It's better to use "devaluation" of the currency" or, as a far-left political leader did in France, use the phrase "diminished purchasing power." When the government prints money to pay for wars and bailouts, the new money devalues all existing money, giving it less purchasing power.
